The Health Department Closes more Chinatown Restaurants

According to Grub Street, The Health Department has put its padlocks on more restaurants in Chinatown. Previously, we've seen Great N.Y. Noodletown close temporarily and reopen a week after... but who was struck by the NY Health Department's hammer?

New Bo Ky Restaurant - I am not surprised. I tried this restaurant a few months ago and its horrible -- not to mention EXTREMELY smelly. According to Grub Street, "violations include food stored at improper temperatures, live roaches, and “food worker prepares food or handles utensil when ill with a disease transmissible by food, or have exposed infected cut or burn on hand.”

Other restaurants tagged, "you're it" included ...

GOLDEN HOUSE CHINESE RESTAURANT
SWEET SPRING RESTAURANT
GAO XIN SEAFOOD RESTAURANT
LIU, WEN YING
CHANG WANG RESTAURANT
BANGKOK EXPRESS NO. 1

Unfortunately, I have not tried most of these restaurants. For more info, check here.
